2017-18 School Year Lottery Information
Applications became available on Thursday, December 1st, 2016 and closed on Friday, January 27th, 2017 at midnight.
When you fill out the online application, you will select a Prospective Family Night to attend:
-Thursday, January 12th 6:30-8:00pm OR
-Tuesday, January 17th 6:30-8:00pm OR
-Monday, January 30th 6:30-8:00pm
The lottery will be held on the afternoon of Friday, February 17th, 2017 at PVPA.
Beginning in early March, all students who applied for this lottery can request a shadow day.
Apply. Attend prospective family session in January. Get results from lottery in February. Shadow March-May.
2016-17 School Year Lottery Information
The 2016-17 Lottery was held on Friday, February 12th, 2016.
Applications for the 2016-17 school year were available beginning on December 1st, 2015 and due by Friday, January 29th, 2016.
Acceptance and wait list letters were mailed out to all applicants in the 2016-17 lottery on 2/17/16.
Applicants are always welcome to email Amanda Melemed at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out their status on the waiting list.
Admission to PVPA is by lottery. New applicants must file an application by the deadline.

A Change to the Waiting List...
Updates to the Charter School Regulations (as of March 25th, 2014): "prohibition of rolling waitlists and requires schools to keep waitlists for only the school year for which the student applies, but allows a school to choose to maintain any waitlists established prior to March 31, 2014 until such waitlists are exhausted". PVPA did choose to maintain the waitlists that existed prior to the 2015-16 lottery and will honor them until they expire. All new lottery applicants from the 2014-15 lottery and beyond will only be on a wait list for the year they applied for.
Re-Application Letters were mailed out on November 17th, 2015 for students who are on the grandfathered wait list (prior to the 2015-16 lottery). They were due back to the PVPA Main Office by December 31st, 2015.
• The deadline to apply to PVPA for the 2014-2015 school year was Friday, January 3, 2014.
• The lottery for the 2014-2015 school year was held on Friday, February 7, 2014.
• The deadline for Statements of Re-Application was Friday, January 2nd, 2015.
• The lottery for the 2015-2016 school year was held on Friday, February 13th, 2015 at PVPA.
PVPA is open to all students on a space-available basis. Per MA General Laws, Chapter 76: Section 5, PVPA shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, creed, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability, age, ancestry, athletic performance, special need, proficiency in the English language or academic achievement.
